Anybody running this boat?? Anyways went to a boat show. Was wondering if this was a decent price. 2010 1825 explorer sport; with a 150 opti , 9.9pro kicker, a hds 5 on the counsle, on board 2 bank charger and 70lbs thrust bow mount minkota, shorelander trailer with spare, 33k
I and the wife really liked the way this boat was setup. Gonna be used alot around the winnebago chain mostly and a few trips to big green and door county here n there. Thinking of going with this deal as i compared it to the crestliner raptor that i also liked, overpriced a bit and not as decent set up compared to the lund. Any input would be helpful. Thanks |

I just purchased the same boat, 1825 Explorer Sport, 150 V-Rod, stainless propeller, Minnkota 80lb Terrova with IPilot, onboard 2 bank Minnkota charger, transom saver, Sport package, sun top, no electronics and I paid $33K
I thought that was a pretty good deal, haven't took delivery yet but will in about 3 weeks. Curtis |

And obviously Shorelander trailer, you are getting the 9.9 Pro kicker which is a $3700 investment from what I can tell if it is wired with remotes, etc. I am guessing you are getting a good deal.

well i went with the deal.. forgot to mention the bow mount is the v2 with autopilot. anyways kinda guessin what the top speed would be around with the 150 opti? Not sure what prop they will put on the motor as of yet. I would ssume that i will have plenty of umff to get up on plane fairly quick even with the kicker on the back? Anyone out there running something simular to this set up??
how much more was the v rod over the opti curt?? |

I ran ProVs- and Prov IFS prior to this boat. 1825 Explorer Sport has been the best selling individual model of all Lunds the past couple of years ....at least out in this part of the country. Maybe everywhere? That sounds like a very good price, to me. You did well. You will be very happy with the performance. Hopefully you are getting a Stainless Steel prop. A good SS prop really makes those IPS Hulls lift nice. It really makes a difference. Last edited by T Mac; 01-29-2010 at 09:36 AM. |

Wicked1, Welcome to the explorer club. Best lund that I've owned, great all around boat. Gets up on plain easily and best cruise speed for us is about 42 MPH. Enjoy!

You should see 48 to 52 mph with a good ss prop, like the Powertech Ras 19 pitch, a tempest 19 works good also but your rpms will be around the 5300 to 5400 range and you what to get close as you can to the 5750 mark. The powertech will put you at about 5600 rpms.

Wicked1,
I am not sure how much more the V-Rod was, I know on the breakout they list it as $14.5K for the V-Rod but I have no idea how much the Opti is. I wanted a 4 stroke so didn't even bother pricing the Opti. Curtis |

Just one point ... make sure the MinnKota has a 60 inch shaft (I think that is the max length). I am glad I got that length on my 2003 Mr. Pike 18.
