Default My 1st Boat - Polar Kraft

My 1st Boat, I realize that it will fit inside most everyone else's boat on this site, but I'm pretty happy with it so far. Got it late last year and managed to get out in it 4 times before ice. It's an 06 boat and motor (50hp 4-stroke). No i really dont have an excuse for the wife when I come home with no fish.

Welcome to Walleye Central. Nice rig. I'm curious, is it 15' from the bow to the transom, or back to the sponsons?

Its 15ft from the bow to the back of the sponsons. It actually fishes 2 people pretty well and that is the max motor for it.

Default Look like decent boats

I was bidding on new non current 19 foot no motor on ebay. Once you have that awhile you cant step up 17-18ft alum really a perfect size do it all rig. You dont need no 20ft rig to fish comfortable

Thats a nice looking rig, IMO.

"No i really dont have an excuse for the wife when I come home with no fish."

LOL......should of seen my wife's facial expressions when I would return home during the first year I got my boat, not many Walleye to eat. Just made me more detemined.

Funny now though....she has grown accustomed to the taste and even likes to accompany me occassionally. Just not often enough for me to convince her of the neccessity of a 2' longer boat.

I'm still trying tho'...!!!!

Welcome to the site "Wisco"!

Nice looking boat, and a perfect size for fishing the Madison Chain of lakes.

You've found the right place to chat about boats and catching walleye.

Just remember there are NO dumb questions here. Everyone is always willing to help....well, MOST everyone.

Hope you enjoy your time here, and come back to visit with us often.

Default Rig

Nice Rig! I've seen a couple of the polar crafts up close and they are a very nice boat. The Yamaha is bullet proof. Good luck fishing this year!
