Well, I purchased a new boat last year. I got a lowrance 520c at the console and my fl-20 at the bow. I really can't run them at the same time as neither are dual frequency and interfer with each other. I also bought new last year a minn kota PD V2 55pd US2 and Co-pilot, but am now bummed that the I-pilot feature won't allow me to use the foot pedal. I do 90% of my fishing for eyes, in rivers and lakes in northern wisconsin and minnesota.
I can't afford both, so what would you chose, a new terrova with I-pilot or an HDS-7 (i'd put it at the console and put my 520c on the bow) It would sure be nice to have unlimited funding!!! superioreyes |

I haven't used a foot pedal since the co-pilot first came out. Just got an I-Pilot for my V-2 motor yesterday. Tried it out for an hour, and all I can say is WOW!

I think your answer depends on the type of walleye fishing you predominantly do. If you are more of a troller I would go with the HDS and imaging - if you are more of a jigger/slip/bobber/spinner fisherman I would go with the I-Pilot. This opinion is based on reading the many of the various posts on both pieces of equipment.
