Default Purchasing nightcrawlers bulk

Where is the best and cheapest place to find bulk crawlers? Also, since I am on the topic, what ways do you guys keep your crawlers while fishing in the boat. I use an ice/water mix in a small flip cooler and I avoid the mess. Crawlers do fine and even after a 12 hour day on the water go right back into the bedding for next time. Anybody got something better?

I go to a bait supplier, not the bait shop. I think I paid $20 for a half flat last year ( I am a crank bait guy)..the suppliers usually seem alittle cheaper than the actaul bait shops. I go to daves in kaukauna. Not sure where you are located.

Don't know where you are from but you can call Walt's Crawlers in Vanderbuilt Michigan, ask for Becky and she may be able to send some on one of her deliveries if you are within her routes. I do not know if she ships or not? Give her a call and see what she can do for you... 1-800-666-0487...

Ditto to the crawlers and ice water, only way to go that I know that is easy and mess free!!! I leave my crawlers right in the water in the cooler and toss it in the bait fridge when I get home. Change the water every other day and they keep for a week or better... If I'm going out the next day I clean a few packs at the house and re-plenish the cooler add fresh water and toss the cooler in the fridge. Good to go in the morning..

I also get my crawler form Walt's Crawler, I just go to Walt's and pick them up but I'm only half hour away.

I've also bought crawler & leaches from Knutson Live Bait there in southern MI, I've had them delivered.

Default Crawlers

I have used Vados Bait Express for crawlers and leeches for years, and they have ALWAYS come through with top quality bait in top condition.

Anyone ever bought crawlers from Cabela's? They sell 500 crawlers for $59.99. Seems cheaper than a bait shop if you have a way to store them. Tom

Default Crawlers Shipped

We can ship them right to your door, or to a resort if you're heading to one. Contact me through the website referred, and let me know you heard about us on Walleye Central for a 5% discount. Free Shipping to about 12 states in the midwest.

I haven't had a chance to get out with the African Crawlers, but I have a supplier for them. They are just a tad smaller than the Canadian crawlers and their skin isn't quite as thick. But you can get about twice as many for roughly the same cost.

I've bought them here with good luck. Prices are reasonable.
