I finally got this thing out today after work. WOW! What a difference over my old boat. It's very stable, and really smooth. The Yamaha is great! Following the break-in procedure as per the manual, I finally got to crack the throttle wide open after a few hours. Hit 34.5 mph playing with the trim (with 30 gal of gas and a full front live well). Although the trim setting that got me going that fast didn't seem optimal. Optimal trim seemed to be around 33.7 mph. Forward troll seems to get down to just under 2 mph, back trolling was down to 1 mph. Vantage can push me up to about 2.5 mph forward.

Love the titan! Turned if off for a while so I could appreciate it, and it's huge. I'm SO happy I got this! Worth every penny.

The Vantage was initially mounted way too low (where it is at in the pics). I had to pull the boat out of the water after trying to plane out and seeing what was going on (blade spinning, water flying everywhere). I raised it about 6-8" or so and it's all better.

Anyway, the first 3 hours were great. Can't wait to fish out of it.

Sounds like a great trip on the new boat. I knew you were going to love it.

By the way, thanks for noticing this. It's been bugging me so I took an hour or so out of my evening today to adjust the trailer. I had to drill a few holes (I've been drilling a lot of holes lately), but it's lined up perfect now. I took the opportunity to slide the boat forward 1" on the trailer as well just to eek out a little wiggle room in the garage.
