Anyone use Johnny Rays for there larger electrionics? I like the their position locking just not sure they are strong enough to hold the heavier weights of the 7" and larger gps combo units.

I have one on a hds 10 and it works fine. I had ordered a ram mount for oversized graphs but I could not use it because it lifted the graph to close to the steering wheel. I am sure if I hit a good wave it might jar the unit out of the mount. If you are limited to space one of these might work.

Hi, I've been using these mounts for quite some time and have had NO issues whatsoever with the larger LCD's..... I've got an LCX28 and the mount works great... low profile, inexpensive, and strong!

Last year, during 5 weeks on the water, I had no difficulties whatsoever with my HDS7 connected to a Johnny Ray JR-500 swivel base via a JR-300 connection plate. According to Johnny Ray specifications (see product specifications at http://www.johnnyraysports.com/), this connection is good for up to 7 pounds. My HDS7 weighs approx 5 pounds.

Thanks guys. I have used them on 5" graphs and was not sure they would work on the larger ones. I will be mounting my 7" Humminbird on a Johnny Ray this week. Thanks again for the responses.
