Default Kicker Size

Hello....I have a 2004 Alumacraft Magnum 165 tiller with a 04 E Tech 50hp. I am thinking about getting a kicker for it. The 50 will troll but I need to kick it in and out of gear alot to keep the speed down and then its not a constant speed. I troll the River mostly in the summer and also a little it the fall. I do very little lake fishing. What would be a good kicker size to be looking for. Would a four stroke work better ?....it would rum a little smoother and now smoke to breath all day. Any suggestions ?
Thanks
Mike

I have a couple of friends that use drift socks. They run them on the front cleats so that they are out of the way for fighting fish. They also use one off each side so the boat still tracks straight. Just an option.

I have an Alumacraft 165 trophy sport that I put a Honda 8hp kicker on and I love it. It trolls down to almost nothing, it's super quiet, and it uses virtually no gas. I'm happier than heck with it and never use my bowmount anymore.
