Thumbs up

Love mine, it would work beautifully on your 690. I'm running a 101 36V Terrova on my 619. You don't need the 101 thrust to move the boat around with authority, but it helps with run-time (especially on rivers).

LOVE my Terrova the past year. It's a sweet upgrade from my last 10 year old AP/PD. I have a Skeeter that's about the same size as the 690, and I have the 80lb Terrova 24V. I've only needed more power on a couple windy days I wouldn't normally be out in (tournament day). The waves were massive and could hardly keep the 60" shaft in water that day. It proved it's toughness those two days alone.

I'm not a fan the cable driven motors, so take my opinion for what it's worth. I love the AP/PD feature, especially since I can briefly walk away from the motor to re-bait, net fish, etc. and keep the boat on track.

And i would assume they use more battery power than a cable driven motor? is this correct?

I use mine for Muskie fishing and constant casting. In that case the AutoPilot/iPilot is the navigation tool of choice.

With the iPilot remote hanging from my belt loop I can cast a shoreline at a given speed and only have to make small adjustments occasionally. If you learn that track you can retrace your route and forget about running the trolling motor.

Best Muskie fishing tool since the double 10's!
