Default Two chances

Gave Lowrance 2 chances, I'm done with them forever.

Nick me once shame on you. Nick me twice shame on me.
We pay good money for our past times. Disposible income is a privlege that is getting harder to come by.
I`m glad I can buy a reliable television reguardless of whos name is on it.
Lowrance had it right 10 years ago on quality. They should back track their steps. Linda Colt was old school. Old school in Lowrances` case is good.

They did give me a deal on a new hds10 but the service sucks. I've had nothing but Lowrance all my life but I'm thinking I should of went with hummingbird.

A deal on a new replacement for a 5 years old item out of production sounds like pretty good service to me.

When you pay $3,500 hundred for a unit and 5 years later they tell you to through it into the garbage and they will give you a $650.00 cut on the new one? Okay it's better than nothing but for that money I'd think it should last a while longer than 5 Years!!
The Service
Well when you phone there and get put on to hold for 11/2 hours and then you try to let a message that doesn't work yeah that's service?
When you phone back the next day and get a busy signal all morning and then you get through and put on to hold again for 1/2 hour before hanging up Yup that's service!!
The only way I got through was by getting a hold of the place I got it from and got a name and email address who they deal with at navico and sent a email to that guy.
yup That's service.
When I ordered my new one only to find out they didn't have any in stock and it would be 8-10 business days before they get it and then 3 day after that before I get it.
Where is the customer service now a days and beleive me when there is cretit to be given I'm the first to speak up.
Thanks I'm done my ranting

If your requirements are map driven then you are pretty much locked into Lowrance.

I got sucked into that mindset and have both a marginal locator and a marginal handheld GPS because I wanted to save $100 on buying a second map chip. Lowrance's GPS units are not the best that I've owned and used.

Google " gps module not responding" and then decide for yourself.

That's some funny chit right there! Lowrance= long hold time on phone for customer service! Turn around time in the summer is very poor.........unless you phone them/e-mail them daily to keep people on track!
