Default 1860 Speedo Issues....

Sometimes my speedo quits working ,,,any ideas or suggestions.

Deal with it. I've been in more boats of all brands that the speedometers work intermittently or not at all. I would venture to say we all use the Speedo on our GPS instead of the analog gauge in the counsel.

Most likely it is just getting clogged from debris in the water. Take a small drill bit to the pressure hole on the front of your skeg and turn it by HAND to get the debris out.

+1. Also you might want to check the water line connection on the back of the speedo gage. It works based on water pressure.

Big Rod. I will add that I had a speedo that accumulated corrosion on the inside of the gauge where the pressure hose connected. Take the hose off the back of the gauge and blow into it and see if you can pass air through it. This will narrow down the location of the clog.
