Default Humminbird 595 Portable

I bought a 595c a couple years ago. I had an old Wide One or whatever it was. I used the case from that for the new one. It was the hard plastic case and used 2 lantern batteries. Problem was the 595 BURNED through 2 lantern batteries easily in a day running both GPS and the Sonar. I just bought the soft side case and a couple of the gel cell batteries. Any idea how long this thing will run? I don't really have the opportunity to test it very well before we leave.

Just curious if anyone else uses anything similar. Humminbird GPS combo that is portable and what they get out of battery life. We have access to solar panel and battery for periodic charging.

Thanks
