Default Lund 1750 Outfitter

Any one have one? Would you buy it again. I am going to the factory in October to check things out and I think I could make a good crappie boat out of it.

if they would have offered it in the States in 2006, when I bought my 1700 Explorer (tiller), I would have bought the Outfitter for sure. While the Explorer/Pro Guide has the side storage copartments, and the rear livewell, the Outfitter is lighter & narrower. The only downside I see is the 60hp tiller rating, I think the new F70 Yamaha would be a good fit on that hull.
Keep us posted after your visit.

Thumbs up

I love mine. The front deck is a bit higher than many of the other boats I looked at. This lets me sidearm cast more like a bass boat and also provides deeper storage. The beam is a bit narrower at 78", but I don't fish with more than two in the boat. It is a traditional Lund Deep V and may not be as gas friendly as some of the other Lunds, but it softly takes larger waves along with its narrower beam. Although the narrower beam can be a bit tippy with three in the boat. I have the single console with a 90 Opti on the back and she'll do about 42 GPS. The light weight of the boat makes loading and unloading a breeze.

I have a camp on LOW in Ontario and have been running 1750 outfitters (and 1700 outfitters prior to 2005)for over 10 years. I have been extremely happy with them. They powered with 50 hp yamaha fourstroke tillers, and can push 3 people at 30 MPH no problem. lots of storage, a smooth ride in the waves, and solid. No flexing feel as pounding through the waves. I am selling off some of my 2009's which are equipped with the 50 hp yamaha and Lowrance fishfinder/GPS. If interested, drop me a line at scottyck76@hotmail.com and can give you more info about them.

Everytime I look at other "dream" boats, that are bigger and faster, I can find something that they don't have that my Outfitter does. Basically it is my ideal boat. Currently I am moose hunting out of it, and I aint worried about muddying it up, getting blood on it, Also, in my opinion there is not another boat out there that has the storage that this one does. I can put soo much under that front deck, and a big part of that are the huge doors that they put on the main compartment. I looked at a proguide the other day, and the doors are tiny, small compartments too. I can put way more in my outfitter. I put 2 rubbermade and two coolers plus extras in that main compartment. It also has a nice big livewell, that i use for helping me revive 40"+ fish all the time. Better than an Alaskan in my opinion simply cause of that deck, I couldn't live without it now.

Default Narrower beam?

It is a traditional Lund Deep V and may not be as gas friendly as some of the other Lunds, but it softly takes larger waves along with its narrower beam.

I've been looking at the Rebel and Pro guide series. The rebel has a narrower beam and what seems like a deeper V than the Pro Guide. Do you think the Rebel would cut through the waves a little better with a smoother ride?
