Default Knots

When joining Mono and superlines I like the Double Uni Knot.

The only knot I use is the back to back uni. Works awesome with superlines to pretty much any line you want to tie to. Its also very easy to tie.

3rd positive iteration on the back to back uni knot. I tie a fluorocarbon leader to Fireline sometimes and this knot works well. Goes through line guides no problem.

+4 for uni-uni. Very strong knot that I use to tie 10# Fireline to 15# Flouro. There have been times with a snag in windy shoreline conditions that I tried to break the line and could not. Almost crashed my boat into my neighbors lift!

back to back uni here too, for freshwater...

If you go heavier though, especially for saltwater stuff, the Improved Albright with a lock is a good one to use, especially if you have roller guides on your rods.
