Catch and Release

Should we practice Catch and release on large adult Walleye ..??? Or if there's a limit fill it with wherever come's to the boat 10 lber's or whatever .. Should we go to a known big fish spawning area and fill our limits its legal !! Why shouldnt we ???

Ever hear of QDM for deer hunting
Seems those guys won't shoot the little ones

What about the Tournament Fisherman
I've yet to see a tournament won by throwing the big fish back

And then there's my opinion
If it's it legal. And you caught the fish
It's your choice on releasing it or taking it home

I can see your point of managing a fishery for large fish
But does it really benifit the masses?
How would you tell a 10 year old who happened to catch the only fish that day. That he had to release
the fish because Fishmonkey said so

We have the DNR that sets the fishing seasons, size limits and creel limits
Your fight should be with them

After that it's a personal choice
I've released my share of big females in the spring
But usually I think they taste great deep fried and with a little tatersauce. Wink wink

Be nice. maybe I'm a old guy who has time to bebate about things he is passionate about something he like to do and pass on to the one's he cares' about .. My advice would be

If you ever fish Erie
Don't push your opinion on the guys at a dark boat launch
Some people just don't see it your way.
