Default lund parts

I went to the local lund dealer to get a couple electrical switches for a 93 Lund 1600 Angler. I was told that their books only go back to 1996. I was shocked to find out that what is probably the biggest manufacturer of aluminum boats in this country only carries parts back to 1996. The switches are for the interior lights and the navigation lights. both switches have 5 to 7 terminals on each switch. I was told to bring the switches in and they would see if they could match them up with something. Does anyone know where I could find part numbers for something like that. so I could just buy the right switches?

Maybe try asking Lund who their supplier was/is for their electrical switches (from back then) and contact the mfr. directly. ??

FatBob,
I would pull the switches out, but first clearly label what wire goes where. Then, take some clear pictures, and post them, so we can see exactly what you have. There's also a good chance the switch also has a manufacturer name and part number on it. Lot's of sources for replacement switches.

Not too surprising. Automobile manufacturers are required to carry parts for 10 years after the end of a model year. I wouldn't expect more of boat manufacturers.

Maybe your DEALER'S books only go back to 1996. Try a different Lund dealer or get in contact with Lund customer service directly. (not sure of their number anymore, might be buried on their website someplace.)

At any rate, should not be too hard to substitute. Most of this stuff is vendor supplied.

Definitely look real close at the switch. If you can see the manufacturer and a number I would google it and see what you get.
