Default Mercury Sponsorships

I think its awesome that Mercury Marine is flush enough to sponsor not only BASS, the MWC and the entire FLW, but AIM also.

I'd like to know more about the sponsorships. You know, like other pro sports. How much moolah is being injected into the tournaments.

We all get jacked up about player salaries, how much companies pay to get naming rights to stadiums, etc.

Steve Fellegy has been a huge proponent of this thought process and I agree with him. Let's hear about all of the cash being flooded into AIM, FLW, etc.

It would certainly create some exciting hot stove discussion without speculation and bashing.

Anyway, here's to hoping the vails will be lifted and the discussion starts in the open like other pro sports.

Default Suggestion

Just thinking out loud here, but wouldn't Mercury Marine give the only true answer to this question? Just a suggestion....

Not sure. I would think AIM or another tournament organization could get the ball rolling to creating more interest in this sport by publishing the amount of cash and product they get from the, as AIM states in their press release, a lead supporter of their series.

It just makes for some more interesting discussions if there is really a desire to make the sport more interesting to a larger audience.

Salaries, sponsor dollars, real stories not just puff pieces, etc., etc., keep the folks interested in all major sports all year long regardless if the sport is in season.

Anyway, I think it would be cool to open up about it. Especially the new kids on the block, AIM, spearheading the future of pro tournament fishing.
