Default Minn kota terrova

i am in the process of buying a new trolling motor to replace my older minnkota copilot i was wondering if some of you have used the terrova 80 and if the stow and deploy are that much better than on the powerdrive v2 i have watched the videos on youtube and the minnkota website but little mention is made of this procedure the ipilot and universal sonar are a good reason to update but a easier stow and deploy would also be great thanks

I think the stow and deploy on my Terrova is MUCH easier than they were on my PowerDrive, which I replaced about 3 years ago. However, the real test is how my wife, or father-in-law, feel when they pull trolling motor duty. Both of those part-timers agree that the Terrova is a big improvement.

There are lots of reasons to run Terrova, and easier stow and deploy are among them.

The Terrova is easier then the old Powerdrives. I still don`t know why Minnkota can`t do the mount like the Maxxums. Grab the rope pull and locked down.

Default terrova

thanks for the info i will go with the terrova 80 with i-pilot sure wish they made it in a 54inch but for some strange reason only the 60 and 44 come that way. i quess better too long the shaft than too short.

Default 54"

Couldn't you just get a 54" shaft Terrova 80 w/ sonar and add the I-pilot? Just a thought..... You will really enjoy it no matter what you decide. This is a really nice motor. Enjoy

I bought one last spring and really like the stow and deploy methods with the new motor.

With the older powerdrive it usually took some efforet to get the motor into the water and out of the water. If you were just tying to deploy it quickly it was tough to do.

Now I can do it rather quickly to get fishing quicker

Everyone I take along fishing I teach them how to stow and deploy my Terrova 80. You never know when you would need the motor up, especially when you hook into a Musky that wants to walk you around the boat.

It is so easy compared to the PD. Root canal was more fun then getting the PD deployed.
