Default Lund Impact 1675 Sport

Considering a purchase of my first Boat. How well do you thing the Lund Impact 1675 Sport would handle the bigger waters of MN such as Leech Lake, Winnie, & Mille Lacs. I spend quite a bit of time on Leech in a Crestliner fishhawk 1750 sc and a Lowe FM175. Doesn't take much before you are fishing in some good sizes waves and these handle them well . The Tracker Pro Guide 175 combo is on my short list also and seems perfect for bigger water and cruising smaller lakes with the wife and kids.

I think you can fish those waters with the 1675 Impact in most situations. But with any 16-18' foot boat out there, you have to be sensible. You see significant weather approaching, you better head for protection. I run a 1625 Rebel XL SS which is 6 inches narrower. I fish Leech on occassion too, but usually head for shore when the wind or weather really comes up.

With the full windshield, I have a strong preference for 17'+ boats. Just too crowded in a 16' foot version (insert two pennies). The 17' Impact is 4" wder than the 16, so a significant difference in stability over the 16'. If I fished big water a fair amount, I would really dig hard for the 17' version.

I agree with your two cents 1625rebel.
The local dealer is working on some pricing for the 1675. Curious to see the price difference between it and the 1775. Wish he had one in stock to get a feel for the amount of space in the 1675. Said they have some on order.

Team AC : I just went through the same process and ended up chosing the 1775 Impact. We fish big water here on Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. My former boat, a 19yr old lund Stinger was 16' so the new one is almost 2 ft longer. I would also hang in for the Lund vs Tracker......absolutely no comparison. If it came down to price ie 1675 vs 1775 I would rather have a 1675 Lund than a 17 Tracker. Just my 2cents worth.

Best of luck with your selection.

Default Difference

Too be honest a 16 vs. 17 is only $1200 difference with the same options....The 17 is a Killer size for most folks....**** near a 18.....Just my 2cents
