Default Waypoint Management

I'm interested in waypoint management software for my Lowrance HDS units. Since I currently run Navionics mapping cards, I'm leaning towards their Nav Planner 2 which should provide consistency. My goal is to upload current waypoints onto my pc with a program that offers high definition contouring along with the ability to add additional waypoints (pre-planning) and then download the revised data to my HDS units.
I've come across several free programs, but nothing that would accomplish what I'm looking for.

Suggestions??

Thanks,
Boomer

Nav Planner 2 all the way. It does everything you want and more. Great for sharing between manufacturers as well.

Very good software powered by Fugawi. Can also sync with Google Earth I believe.

What Johnnie said. Navionics doesn't really advertise it, or really promote it, but it is worth every penny. All of their HiDef Lakes, and you can load different formats/brands of waypoints in, and change them to your brand. So far the one thing I don't like is the waypoint icons don't load the way I'd liek them too.

Thanks for the responses Johnnie and Larry. I'm going ahead with Nav Planner 2. I also discovered today that I can save the waypoints and tracks on my HDS units to a GPX file and directly import them into Google Earth. One can also save a waypoint on GE as a kml file, convert it via GPSBabel to a usr file and upload that to my HDS. This is a great benefit for me as I fish lake Oahe and the GE images are at a much lower lake elevation. You can actually see the very structure we are fishing. The shelf in picture 1 is now under 20' of water as are the humps in picture 2.

Cool Stuff!

Default oahe

How deep is it on the cluster of flags in pic two, i just looked at a hds 10 with insight and it said 10 feet, i fished that little community hole one day last summer for a bit, i think we went back to your first pic trail area and caught several northerns also, it might have been across the bay to the east

i am kind of curious how close the water level is on the insight

thank you

i read your post again and answered my own ?'s, twenty foot is what i rembered also, looks like maybe 10 foot higher than the insight
