Default selecting different ducer with HDS

Still have ice here so I've been doing some reading about my HDS 7 and 8.

Question. Can anyone tell me where to find information that explains how to select the transducer on my Ipilot so that its data is displayed on my Helm display. The units are etherneted back to the LSS1 module. The Ipilot ducer is plugged into the HDS7 on the bow and the ducer on the transome is connected to the HDS8 at the helm.

I'm looking to be able to switch back and forth between them and have not figured that out. Hard water isn't helping matters either.

Thanks.

Make sure your on your sonar page of one of the units and then hit menu, hit source. I believe this is where you will find it but I do not think it will show up if the two units are not connected by ethernet and both units have to be powered up. I just checked my HDS7 that I have set up for Ice fishing and this is where I believe it is located. I can't remember from last fall when both units were on the boat if this is correct or not. I do know you will only be able to see one sonar source at one time ie.... both units will be looking and utilizing one transducer only. Then if you switch to different transducer both units will now be seeing that other sonar image. Hope this helps!

3M TA3,

Have you had a chance to try this out yet?

Just wondering if I had it correct or not.

Catch'em all big & small

Was out in the river 2 days ago. Breaking in the kicker. Didn't bring the electronics. Lakes still frozen but I am getting antzee. Perhaps I'll try next break in session. Will let you know. RW
