Default Low RPM's

I have a 621 with a 2003 Ficht 250 on it first time out this year it ran great then I just took it out again and I couldn't get more then 3900 RPM's out of it wide open. Tried fresh gas new plugs and same result 30 mph when it will normally do 52-54 depending on load. Idles fine and sounds good at running speed any thoughts what could be going on?

did you treat the gas before you put it away for the winter? Might want to put in a new filter too......

Jeremy,
Several things:
1. Do you have oil in the reservior?
2. Are you getting any oil warnings. Does your oil warning alarm sound correctly when first turning on the key to be sure that it is actually functioning?
3. When running, are all of the cylinders firing on your engine.

It almost sounds like you are in limp mode that is caused by an engine warning condition.

If in doubt at all, take it to a dealer to have it checked before you do any damage to your engine.

Take care
REW

No low oil alarms, I made sure to add another gallon of oil and the low oil warning does sound correctly when first turning on key.
