Default FLW Numbers Rest of 2011

With the tremendous turnout of 131 boats for the season opener for the FLW Walleye Tour it seems as though this organization is doing the right things for the anglers and the sponsors.

Have any of you heard about the number of boaters signed up so far for the remaining three events?

Default Numbers Are Up But Room For More Pros

I talked to Sonny Reynolds about this subject just last week. Entrant numbers are already up substantially for the final three FLW events compared to last years numbers.
One tournament has already surpassed 100 entrants and I suspect may possibly surpass the FLW Lake Erie in entrant numbers.
A number of pros have not signed up for all of them yet including me. As a Pro I have only entered the first two, as have both my partners. Which is why I called Sonny. I will be signing up for the last two shortly. In my case, unexpected vehicle repairs, higher fuel costs, taxes and 1st half real estate taxes were more than I anticipated this spring.
What the actual FLW Pro entrant numbers while looking good are, Sonny either did not divulge to me or told me not to say.
Paying 61 places for a 131 boat field at the Lake Erie FLW was a HUGE improvement over the 2010 payouts.
The FLW did a great job of supporting the entrants ($$$$$) when the entrants supported the FLW.
The increased role of the Army National Guard in the FLW along with the servicemen and servicewomen tournament was HUGE also. I really enjoyed the two weigh ins together and can't wait to see them again on TV!
There is still time to throw your hat into the ring with no penalties and try your luck as Pro. That would make a few Co-Anglers on the waiting list very happy!

I talked to Sonny at Erie and he told me the Leech number. While not full (it's close), it's way better than ANY event last year. Hopefully some more AIM guys come over to fish with the FLW and I hope the FLW guys can return the favor.

I think there's a pretty good chance that this event will hit the 100 boater mark.

Default Oh Yeah

Now that would be cool.

Full events, or close, at FLW and AIM. That would be perfect. Two different flavors of the same dish, but both there to promote the great sport that is walleye fishing.
