Fished the Platte area Saturday through Monday this past weekend. The 2 main areas we fished were across from Red Rock on the flat anywhere from 15' to 24' (20' - 22' the best). Used BB with single or double hook, night crawler or minnows didn't matter also used jig and minnow from time to time. Caught a lot of nice fish between 18" and 20". Be careful and watch for debris floating down the channel. Water temp was around 57 to 58. Also fished down river from this area towards the bend and fished the east side of the river next to the points and caught fish in the 13' to 15' depth using the same set-up.
Good Luck

Default Chamberlain

I hear there is a tournament this weekend out there. One of the fathers at baseball said that he had 12 guys out there yesterday. He showed me some pics from his phone. They were on the water at sunrise kept a limit and caught and released over 450 fish in the course of the day. Chamberlain has been phenomenal this year all around for numbers. Bigger fish have been coming from other areas of the river. Bottom bouncer and minnow or crawler working. Try the flat in front of Crow Creek on bottom or work the channel at various depths. Water depth has changed so you will need to experiment. As stated watch out for debris ( 50mph on the river right now is probably a bad idea ). Also keep in mind that there is a no wake zone and time closer on part of the river and speed limits so know the rules before venturing out. I would guess that with the high water you can find some pretty good mud lines. Pitching jig and minnow to these mud line points can produce some really good fish.

Have fun!!!

Bill
