998 si owners manual

I just bought a new 998 si and had it installed at the dealer. I did not receive an owners manual. Does it come with one? Or does it only come with the disks? I am looking for more detailed info than what the disk has and not to mention the disk doesn't do me much good out on the lake.

It came with a little start up manual but that doesn't give any operation details.

Mine didn't come with a manual either, I called HB and they sent me one free of charge, it's nice to have it for reading as you play with the buttons, either on the water or in sim mode.

Should have given you a cd that had the owners manual on it, but yeah there is one online and tons of youtube vids on these.

Is the one that HB sent you fairly compact? If I print it off the website, I am goin to end up with a big stack of paper.

After posting on this board regarding the lack of owner manual with my new 998si unit, an Hbird representative got ahold of me and sent me one in the mail.
Now that is what I call CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

I also bought a new 998 this year with no owners manual, you would think almost 2 grand and no printed manual?

Yep, thats how I felt to, was fairly disappointed that I had no print to learn from while discovering how the unit works, I'm not about to run back and forth from the boat to the computer to try to understand the features.

I took my disc down to the local newspaper office and they printed it out (in color) double sided and punched it for a three ring binder. All for $10. I slide them in page protectors before putting it in a binder, and now carry it with me. One book used for two units!
