Default Boat shopping 1650 Fish Hawk

After 21 years, it's time to replace my rig. ( 1600 Lund Fury with 60 Evinrude) I like the Lund 1675 explorer Sport with 90 Opti and the Crestliner 1650 Fish Hawk WT with 90 etec. The Lund is in stock at a local dealer. The Crestliner would have to be ordered for next spring.

Here's my problem. I lost the notes with all of the measurements that I took on the Crestliner while it was still in the showroom. I seem to remember that the Crestliner's front casting platform was shorter than on the Lund but there was more room behind the helm seat. The Explorer measured 7 ft from the tip of the bow to the front of the console and I feel that there is enough area up front to suit my needs. I had that measurement for the Crestliner but can't find the notes anywhere. I contacted the dealer but he didn't know. I was hoping that someone with a Fish Hawk 1650 WT could get me the measurement. Does the 1650 Fish Hawk give enough room up front?

Any other thoughts on the boats are welcome. Thanks.

I'll try to remember to measure mine for you tomorrow - I think there is more than enough room on the front casting deck, but will try and provide you the measurement. Why the Etec with the Crestliner instead of the Opti? Doesnt it price out better with the Opti?

The Crestliner dealer carries Evinrude but not Mercury. It's the opposite with the Lund; the dealer only carries Mercury. Either way, I think they're both good motors. Thanks for your help.

From the tip of the bow to the front of the console is 87 inches.

Understandable on the motor, i just assumed if they were a Crestliner dealer they would also be a Merc dealer since they are packaged from the factory that way.

I have a Fishhawk 1650 with dual consoles. There is plenty of room on the front deck and a vey spacious cockpit. Great bot to fish out of.
