Default meausurment for skeg on a merc

i have a 05 50hp merc skeg is damaged just need skeg measurement so i can weld a new peice on, pics would be great too. thanks

The best would to buy a replacement skeg that is preformed the right shapes and sizes and also made out of cast aluminum, so you have a better weld area. One picture is of a skeg blank that we use, and the other is the same gearcase that you have the we replace the skeg on Friday.

what is the measurment across the bottom and the angle on the front , i have acess to free cast aluminnum . ive seen those replacemnet peices from jh marine (i think) doesnt look right with the meausurments the have . thanks
