2011 1760 Angler 150 performance

Hello all,
I have done many searches and found nothing on this. Has anyone heard or own a newer 1760 with a 150 pro XS or E-tec HO? What are the top speeds that you are seeing and how is the overall performance of the boat? Currently have a 617 and love the boat, but need to upgrade and like the 1760 and 1860 Anglers. Leaning towards the 1760 but cant find much out beings it is newer model yet. Thanks to all!

I have an 1850 with the 150 ProXS and I'm normally right around 48 (have seen 50 in optimum conditions) with a 19 pitch Trophy plus. I haven't played with props yet so I might not be at peak performance with it. Hole shot is great with my current combo. I wouldn't expect to pick up much going down to the slightly smaller boat, but maybe a couple MPH.

Unless garage size is your deciding factor, I would go 1860 all day!!! I had a 617 and loved the boat, but that extra foot matters more than a few mph to me. I am sure the smaller boat is a little faster, but I will take the fishing room and stability of the 18 foot platform. Put a 175ProXS on the 1860 with a jack plate and let her fly!!!!

Not sure if the Angler is the same, but in the Reata there are a couple things about the 1750 layout that are pretty nice like the top gunnel storage. I like that better than the 1850, and it really didn't feel much smaller. Should run 50+ loaded down with gear and people with either the Pro XS or ETEC

Personally, the top mounted rod lockers look cheesy to me. You may not notice the difference in size only being in the boats for a short time, but I fished a 617 for a couple of years and the 1850 is a night and day difference. A foot of hull makes a world of difference in rough water and the new boats are a lot wider! You could set the 617 inside my boat! With identical motors mounted, my dealer said there is only about 3 grand difference in boats, so it is really a no brainer. The 617 was a very popular boat, but the dealer I got mine from said it was discontinued because it was too expensive at the time for that size of boat. Now the 1750/1760 is getting to be the same way with a 150 mounted. I think that is the reason it was limited originally to 130hp for a specific price point. You need to sit in both and more importantly get out in the water in both! I have never heard anyone complain that they should have gotten the smaller boat! You will not regret going to the 1860. Also, there are a lot more of the 18's out there on the used market too if that is what you are looking for. Good luck........

I have an 1850 and would also recommend the extra foot. Resale value would be much better as well!

Okay,
After hearing all the replies and visiting with several pros and local dealers. I am going to be looking for a 1860, was going to buy new but for the price I will try to find a used one with a 175 Pro XS if possible. The room is amazingly close to my friends 619 and the stability after being in one is great. It handles waves the same as the 619 IMO as well after driving one. I thank all who replied!
