Default Anyone running a 1850 fincraft/or starcraft viper ?

Just wanting opionions on these two boats. Finding both models, and farily close on price. I have looked at the fincraft, but not the viper.

I looked at the fish eagle which is made by fin craft it was nice fit and finish but the way the transom is made you have to remove foam for the bracket for a kicker, and I'm mostly on lake superior so I want a kicker, my test run in the boat was nice the only waves I had were from the wake and there was no Chine walk, the biggest reason I didn't buy it was because I was given great price on a leftover sylvan with a verado.

Yes Sylvan and starcraft viper are the same boat.

Hooknup- Did you notice any diffrence between the two. Was there a ride diffrence between the two.
One thing I like better on the starcraft is the room behind the windshield. It has a wider layout due to the design.

I looked at the Fincraft, first for someone else, then, liking what I saw, I looked very closely at it as "cottage boat". Fit and finish like no other boat in it's class. Good quality hardware. As mentioned, the biggest flaw (and a deal breaker for me) was the transom design, which makes mounting a kicker on a static plate an ugly proposition. The Fincraft with a redesigned, more kicker friendly transom would be a home run for the manufacturer.

I believe the splash well situation is different. I think Starcraft has a casting platform back there while sylvan has a weird casting platform thingy.
