Default Saint Clair ???

Is anyone fishing Saint Clair ? Have they moved into the deep channels yet? Plan on going up next week-end.

Thanks,

Todd

Still on the shallow rock piles and in the last vestiges of coontail and milfoil.
I will be out tomorrow fishing warm water influx areas, the fish can be very concentrated this time of year. Last year on the 2nd weekend of November in 1 1/2 hours I pulled 5 fish all over 44" & 20# out of a weed edge no more than 80' long. Slow down the presentation, use big baits and hold on.

Default no fish in St. Clair...and lots of incurable diseases :-)

The fish are always in the deep Channels.....If you have windsor license, they are all over the Detroit River Headwaters from the Sandpiles on the backside of peach all the way down to Belle Isle. The water has been real muddy though. I have been fishing the North Channel of the St. Clair River and doing pretty well jigging Bondy's and Mojo's and casting Dawgs down the break. I have caught more fish in 30+ foot of water than I have under. They were suspending up around 10-15FOW in about 30-35 feet. Actually my most effective method lately is kind of cheating....I'm slow trolling a pounder or crank using my sidescan until I see a nice mark and then cast to it. I have gotten **** near every fish i've seen on the side scan to hit on the first or second cast. The weather has kept me off the water the last few days, but this weekend is shaping up to be a good one it looks like. Good luck if you come up.

Check out Lakestclair.net, there is usually some useful info on there. Jon Bondy posts a report just about every day but he fishes primarily Canadien water.
