Default Yam 250 Prop

Put either a 19p or 21p REV 4 on it. I use both and interchange as required on 08-620 with F250 w/hyd jack and kicker, gear etc.
The 21p is used most of the time (54-55mph @ 5950-6000) but use the 19p if there are 4 guys going out.
Boat will get on plane quicker / easier and will stay on plane at lower speeds.

You will give up some of the top speed but I personally like the handling of the boat (feel) better too.

I run the 21p SaltwaterII on mine and consitently get 54-55 loaded with 2 2hondo guys in and all gear. I only ever got 52 out of the last 06 620 with 21p yamaha stock. I would like to try the 19 Rev 4 on mine to see how different it feels but have no problem coming out of the hole loaded. My 2011 comes out of the hole better than the 06 and is faster. I wonder if the digital throttle has anything to do with it. I had 5 good size adults and 2 70lb kids in the boat and all the gear and livewell full as well as the tank. Took a second longer but it was up on plane. The only time I have ever noticed a struggle is when I dont let it warm up propperly. It will let you know.

Default 19 Rev 4

Dave,

What are you getting for rpms when you run the 19rev 4? I noticed you said 5950 to 6000 out of the 21p rev 4.

Out of our testing we've done the Powertech OFS4 typically run pitch for pitch with the Rev 4, the Ofs noticably better holeshot than the rev. The Rev is alittle faster topend though. It will be intertesting with the new prop that powertech is coming out with how that compares.

You can use that prop just watch your rpms at wide open. As far as the hub kit the mercury one will work, you just use the mercury lock washer instead of cotter pin. Or you can get a quicksilver hub kit made for your yamaha also.
