Default Bob, your thoughts?

From an Insurers point of view, what is your take on this? Please scroll down to see REW's posting. He has a good point, all we all worried about nothing, or is there a genuine concern?

Thanks, HRG

Default Insurance

As he mentioned, It would void the warrantee. If there was a physical damage claim and your insurance company found out it had an over rated motor they could deny your claim. Worse yet, If there was a bad claim with injuries or a liability claim. I will guarantee you your carrier will do an investigation and find out it was over rated and they would have the right to deny this claim. If there are injuries and your insurance company denied your claim you would be on your own with legal fees and any damages adwarded to the injured. You could risk everything you have worked for your entire life. In my opinion for a few more miles per hour it would not be worth the risk. The manufacturer rated it for a reason, In there opion this the maxamum horsepower they have built the boat to handle I hope this helps. Bob
