Default Alumacraft 185 windshield ?

I have a 2007 185 Tournament Sport boat and I'm wondering what's involved in removing the windshield?

It's under covers now so if someone knows it'll save me some trouble.

Windshield needs to come off to get in garage, lots of upgrades and I'd like to do them before spring.

Not a good idea. Find a bigger garage.

how much room do you need? How about the tires off and use some type of wheelies or something to tweek that baby into the garage.

That may end up being the answer, I think I only need a few inches.
Seems like less work than removing the windshield too.

Sawzall idea got me excited for a bit but the roof line gets in the way of a higher door and I'm not much for roofing, especially when it's 6 degree's out, and the cost..

Off to look for dollies.....er.....the ones with wheels...
Thanks all.

Edit...Maybe not, wife says the windshield was almost a foot to high, dolly may get me 6" or so.

You will regret taking the windshield off just to get the boat in the garage. The glass needs to come out of the frame to access the bolts that hold the frame to the console.

how about jacking the tounge up with a floor jack, pivot the tounge jack up, then lower the tounge on a creeper or dolly, then roll it in the garage.

May give you clearance you need?

Your saying that the cross ties on the trusses aren`t high enough to allow your door to roll up if it were higher?

If you have a detached garage you could someday possibily jack it up and add a row of block under the sil plate or build a lean to.

For now you may have to wrap her up good and wait for the time of year you can do something.

I see some type of wood cutting saw in your future either circular or recipicating.
