Default 10 year old battery

Just replaced my 12V cranking and accossory battery. It could have probably made it another year or maybe two but decided to replace it after realizing it was from 2002.

How long do you expect your cranking battery to last. I fish maybe 20-30 times a year...... or more simply put not enough.

A battery can last from a few minutes to about 10-12 years.

Most folks feel that anything over 3 years is a bonus.

5 years is quite common. Periods of time over 5 years tend to become increasingly rare.
