Any recommendation in mounting the LSS1 tranducer to a 2006 Tundra? I like to mount it to the "Step Mount" direct but I'm not sure it will work due to live well strainer and 200KHz skimmer is lower.

I have an hbird on my 03 tundra. I have heard of people removing your strainer at the top your step and mounting a through hull in that hole. Then relocating that input to the side. Here is where my bird xducer is mounted. The LSSI is bigger but may give you some ideas.

SingleShot is spot on! Use the brackets included with the LSS1 to mount in the same location as SingleShot.
I see you don't have a jackplate so the above option is the best/only one. |

Thanks SingleShot I would have never thought of moving the 2D Skimmer up a rib and mounting the LSS1 were I currently have the 2D Skimmer. I was concerned on hi speed loosing bottom on the 2D Skimmer as I know the LSS-1 is expected to drop out at hi speed. If the Hi Speed skimmer works than this setup would produce the good 2D to Downscan overlay because we meet the 1 foot speration requirement and the LSS1 transducer is lower than the Skimmer.

RonMan,
FYI on that setup I'm able to be locked on with both units running on plane ~41mph. I have to attribute that to luck. JK
