I had one doing that super close one deer hunting morning before light. Oh boy did the hair stand up.

I had this happen to me. i was fishing little long lake near Ely, MN and i here a pack up on the ridge. It was cause for a very spooky hike back to my vehicle. that walk back in the dark was interesting enough on its own.
