I found an identical Ruger No. 1 on Gunbroker in 30.06 for $900 (NIB). I'm not familiar with a variiic (perhaps you meant vari-x IIc ?). I found several of those for around $500 (NIB). Since yours is new and in mint condition, I'll take a guess and say it's worth around $1100. I didn't figure the sling or case into the price, but unless it's a Pelican it wouldn't add to the price. Unless you REALLY want that gun, I wouldn't pay more that $1000.

The rifle is worth around $700-$800. http://www.gunsamerica.com/951062586...mes_Wester.htm http://www.gunsinternational.com/Rug...n_id=100231226 A Ruger#1 with a wood stock and blued barrel would be worth more. I do love my Ruger#1's a lot. The wood they use in them is awesome. The accuracy can be good-great to with some trigger work and home loading. I would think that rifle is worth about $800 as it sits. Here is Nicole with her first deer ever. She was shooting my Ruger#1 in 45-70. It took some work but that thing is now a sub-MOA rifle.

People who like #1's are the kind of people that prefer blued and walnut guns so the stainless/laminated ones are worth less than the other ones. Also remember that if you don't reload the 7mmSTW is going to be an expensive, and hard to find, round. I'm guessing about $50 a box for good ammo. |

That doesn't sound like to bad of a price. You'll like the 7mm STW. It's a smoking cartridge.

New guy on the block and don't want to upset anyone, but the rifle would more than likely sell for 650-700.00. Not a lot of demand for a 7 STW and if you don't reload, than get ready for some sticker shock on ammo.
Mind you I said sell, not asking price on some of the gun sites. The scope is worth 300.00 all day long on any of the gun forums, if it's in good shape. If it's a matte finish scope, than maybe 350.00. If indeed it's a matte finish I'll give you 300.00. Leupolds only depreciate so far and pretty much hold their value from than on and there never was a III version of the 6-18 as has been mentioned. Leupold does have some messed up naming VXIII, VX-III, VX-3, etc. Good Luck with the rifle ps: Any of you finding some higher power Leupolds for 150 bucks, PLEASE let me know |
