LOTW senko's

I witnessed a friend use 7 inch senko's fishing for muskie like he was fishing for smallies or largemouths on LOTW. He hooked up on 3 different fish but lost each of them. One of them was a giant. Anyhow, has anyone else tried using a large senko worm or bondy bait or any other soft plastic successfully when muskie fishing? Thanks.

I have caught a personal best 36" muskie on a 4" senko rigged wacky style. Just happened to hook it line outside the mouth.

Joe Bucher agrees these can be great on muskies, especially as a throw back lure after a follow.

I have caught many muskies up to 53"
on Fin-S-Minnows and other soft plastic baits up to 10" in length. I have also caught them on Flukes as small at 4". Soft baits are a good choice; especially for throwback.

Thanks for the info guys, I will make sure that I have some kind of soft plastic for follow up's.

i was using a wacky rigged 5" senko trying to catch smallmouth bass in a local river. i got a 34.5" muskie as a surprise. its not very big, but having any bait in the right spot at the right time is more important that what specific bait it was. ive caught more large muskies (over 40") on small soft plastics fishing for walleyes/bass, than i have on actual muskie lures

I also caught a 40 inch muskie last summer in the st lawrence river while casting the shoreline for bass. Rigged wacky style. Took some time, but got it into the boat, took a picture and released. our legal length is 48 but would have released it anyway.
