What are you too lazy to do a search and get a little info. Are you trying to start something? Besides we all know birds rule!

Default finders

I went with birds. You need to look at both and make your own decision. Both are good products.

Default Hmmm

Go to the store and check both out. I've had a 595c Hummingbird for 7-8 years and loved it. Just making the switch to a Lowrance HDS-8 for the Gen 2. Hoping I like it like I did the Humin'bird.

While I have my own opinion of which "brand" is best, it's just that, MY opinion based on MY own experiences with both brands over many years! Bottom line though is that it is YOUR money that you are getting ready to spend on a locator that YOU will be using! Invest the time to find a location that has "both" brands on display and do your own side by side comparisons of the units that have the features YOU require for your style of fishing! BOTH brands make good units with many comparable features and pricepoints and BOTH brands offer excellent customer service today, despite less than stellar "PAST" performance in regards!!

Do yourself the favor of investing the time to side by side compare, make your purchase and spend many happy hours of fishing in the future!

Tight Lines!
