Default Queston on pricing of Ranger Reata and Angler

I would like to buy from dealer near me, but here is my question. The price I got on Angler about yr ago is about what out of state dealers are asking on 2012 and less on a 2011. I have not decided if I want to get another Reata, which I feel is a great boat, or move to Angler for a few different reasons. One being colors available and other being rod locker better. Appreciate any input. I am looking to buy in the next three months or if needed wait and order boat in fall or later.

My opinion, angler has a little more bow space and better rod locker. Reata compartments under jump seats are larger, you have the side rod locker and front bow storage. Plus boarding ladder, bimini top and ski bar. I think you will lose storage in the angler from the reata. I got my reata because of the family, extra seating and watersports, plus it is a very versatile fishing platform. If you are just pure fishing and don't need the extra storage then it may be the way to go?

Default Question onf pricing of Ranger Reata and Angler

I agree with you, I did look at both boats and felt other than the nicer rod storage, you give up alot going to Angler. I appreciate your input, thank you. How do you like your Etec? What do you use for a kicker?

I really like the etec. Turn the key and go and the winterization is great! Very good performance all around and pretty quiet at idle. Good on fuel and doesn't use a lot of oil compared to previous 2 strokes. I would have went with a 175, but the 175 etec isn't very strong compared to the 150 and it was $1300 more. Not really a bad motor to go with these days though. If you are looking for the most performance out of this setup, it has to be a Merc 175 ProXS or maybe the 175 Verado?? Otherwise any other motor is gonna be reliable and do well.

Love my Yammie T8 kicker. This is my 3rd one and they are bullet proof. Have never had a single hiccup with any of them. My whole family runs Evinrude, but they have T8 kickers. Very reliable!!!! Would highly recommend them, probably have to get a T9.9 now, but same great motor!!
