Considering the OP or his bother received a 100% refund and are now shopping for another rig and still posted about their experience means something. Is it another chevy vs ford / Ranger vs xxx argument? who knows.
It is simply nothing more than a seed planted in the back of shoppers heads to think about and further investigate prior to laying down that deposit/payment |
A lot of speculation could be resolved if the OP posted both his and his brothers name. Signing your John Hancock to a story like this leads me to believe it's the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. When people post anonymously, I have to question if we got the whole truthful story. Stories like this posted by guests, really leaves me in doubt.
I'm not a "Facebooker", but if you go to YarCrafts FB page, it's pretty easy to figure out who the OP is,,,,,, http://www.facebook.com/YarCraft HRG

For the record I am not a Yar Craft owner or buyer and I am not not affiliated in any way with Bass Cat or Yar Craft.
When a boat company changes hands and then changes manufacturing locations in the same year? One would expect production delays. Speaking from experience, reasonable production times are hamstrung by many unforeseen and unplanned gremlins that raise their ugly head. As a result, a manufacturing plant getting up to speed with a dependable production schedule can be very difficult to do. Or predict. I will not comment on how the poster was said to be treated. That I will remain neutral in. I do not want to be construed an apologist for Yar Craft or Bass Cat either, but as far as production delays? I have experienced it both from the manufacturing side and from the retail end personally. Both sides can be very frustrating to the parties involved. If the time frame quoted in the end was not acceptable, getting a refund and going elsewhere was probably the best option for this individuals brother. |

If I am not mistaken, Ivan Williams works for Bass Cat Boats. If it is the same person, Ivan, I have heard nothing but great things about him on Bass Boat Central. I have never heard one negative thing about Bass Cat Boats as a company. If this conversation is accurate, it would have to be way out of character for Ivan and a Bass Cat employee.
I do know who the poster is and................................................... |

OMG's post has the mark of authenticity for me; it seems very unlikely that he would have made up the comment that his brother was a baby in needing help. And this is the only issue, in my opinion. If it was me, I would have asked for a supervisor to report the comment. This response would have determined what I decided on the business/boat. It is never acceptable to denigrate a customer/potential member. If I was part of the Yar Craft ownership team, Ivan would have been fired.

Yarcraft is not the owner of the company anymore, Bass Cat Boats is. He should call Bass Cat Boats and ask for Rick Pierce himself. If this is the same Ivan, he is very high up in the company and there is much, much more to this story. Rick Pierce has bent over backwards for customers to satisfy them and this whole thing is way out of normal for Bass Cat Boats. |

1st Off, BCB, Yarcraft or Ivan Williams does not act like that, I know him personally and we have had our Differences on opinion in the past, NEVER even privately has Ivan ever treated a Person that way.....Rick Pierce, Ron Pierce and Jan Pierce are the owners or Challenger Inc (BCB and Yar Craft), they are the nicest most geniunie people youd ever hand money too, Heck Jan knew who I was before I ever met anyone at BCB.....2nd, Joe Bucher going to Recon, please dont make me spit out my lunch, Im from Eagle River, Joe was on my Ex Marinas pro staff, remember guys, they represent ANYONE who gives them a free boat, and if you compare a Recon which is a Stale hull design made in the Middle of wisconsin to run as a Bowrider, its called a Sierra, look it up, thats not even close to a Walleye designed hull, its a Band AId, but they sparkle. I mean NO disrespect to Recon or its owners, but ther facts are the facts. Everyone has their Nitch in this Very small segment of Boating, Yar Craft is a Class act company, with the best materials and fiberglass.....Brannon
