Default Looking for a Michigan resort

My buddy and I would like to take our sons on a long weekend fishing trip. Anyone know a good camp in Michigan? We are not looking for anything fancy. Just a comfortable cabin on a good fishing lake.

Not sure where you are thinking in MI..But I like here, been staying there off and on for over 25 years...

It is right on a small river, and Little Bay offers good fishing as well.

Pilgrims village is located between two really nice fishing lakes, Lakes Cadillac and Mitchell. I have not stayed there but have camped at the State park across the street. Looked like they would be fine. Also, nice boat launch and tackle shop/bait store there as well. I have fished Lake Cadillac and had a ball. Lots of crappie and bluegill, some northern pike, some small mouth and large mouth etc. Would like to tell you I got a mess of walleye, but didn't catch one.

Anyway, from Fort Wayne it wouldn't be to bad of a drive.

If you go to Pilgrims village you have about 50 lakes to fish within about 45 mins. My cabin is located 35 mins south of Cadillac and we have several good lakes for bass and pike. We also have a few that have walleyes in them but can be hard to find. Mitchell and Cadillac do have walleyes in them but if you have never fished them you will have a hard time finding. Eight point lake and rose lake are 2 of the better lakes for eyes in that area and they are within 35 mins. If you do get in the Cadillac are and want to know more about the lakes PM me with the dates and I can fill you in.
