I havent found any reviews on this kit, wondering if anyone has it or have heard anything (good / bad) about it.

Thanks,

If its not all stainless steal, which it looks like some parts are some are not, I wouldn't touch it. I also have been looking for a kit like this but it must be all stainless or its just a waste of money. IMHO

Trailers, boat or otherwise are actually quite easy to steal even with the aforementioned locks and devices in place with the exception of the wheel locking device! A very good friend of mine (Todd, an Oklahoma Highway Patrolman) has worked many trailer thefts over the years and gave me a couple of very good tips to thwart the thieves! Typically, the thief will back up to your trailer, lower it down onto the bumper step (does not have to be on the ball) and will use your safety chains to snug the trailer down tight to his bumper and drive off to a place where they can use a cutting torch to remove the lock(s)!

Per Todd's advice, I took an old "jack-stand" I had laying around, welded a two inch ball to the top of the stand and welded the stand at it's highest setting! When I am not hooked up to the trailer with my truck, I simply raise the trailer high enough to set the hitch down on the ball, close the latch and use a padlock like this one (http://www.padlocks4less.com/security-padlocks.html) to lock the latch! The lock I use has just enough room to also attach my safety chain into the lock as well! Now, the would be thief has no way to back under the trailer, and the lock cannot be removed without the aid of a torch etc!

I live on a corner of a high traffic area and have not (knock on wood) had any attempted theft of my boat to my knowledge for the past ten years, while nearby neighbors have reported several thefts of utility trailers and two boats that I know of. Both stolen boats had similar locking devices shown on previous threads of this post! Just sayin,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
