Walleye Season Opener
With the walleye season opener just a few days away, where and when are the "early birds" going to start the 2012 season? Don't forget to give your reports to the rest of us who have to wait..

May 19th.. near Longlac. Hoping to find the big girls still shallow and active . Can't help but assume we will be fishing post spawn. Wish the clock would be this slow during our trip!

10 days
Leave the night of the 17th, spend Fri night in V Bay. Fishing the Wine Lake system by noon on Sat. May 19. I hope the walleye are active and the Lakers are flopping around in the shallows. I also hope those big pike are hungry!

I'll be in one of those red boats on Wabby opening week. We've never made the trek to Wine but thinking about it this week. I promise though HeHooks, I'll be a good boy.

Cedar Lake (Perrault Falls) Ontario
Our group will be out on Cedar Lake in the back bays....counting down the days as we head north a week from this Thursday.....about a 22-24 hour drive.....break up the trip at my
brother's house outside Milwaukee...going into camp on Friday evening. Will drive back on Memorial Day weekend. Rich B

if you come up the Cedar River, look us up. there will be eight of us. Thats roughly half of the boats in camp. Maybe i will touch base with you at the dock, you load up about 100yds from us! We will be there early Sat. morning after breakfast at Busters in VBay.

I live in Denver, CO. A group of us are flying into Minny and making the drive to Red Lake 5/28. Fly 45 miles west to Donald Lake and staying at Wamserville Lodge. Can't wait. This is our third annual trip to Wammy! I'll be on the lake 5/29 through 6/5.
The last two years we have gone in late July, early Aug and the fishing was good, not great. I'm expecting big things this year. I can't wait for the cooler temps and possible rain showers. Happy fishing everyone! Be safe!
