Today I had my new motor and boat out and when I took my hand off the big tiller stick, it started to move toward me causing the boat to go left, at any speed, is this normal? I thought that it locked it in place completely? what could be the problem?

Have you tried adjusting the little fin on the bottom of the cavitation plate? That should control the steering torque when it's set right.

there are 2 versions of the Big Tiller system. 1 is the big tiller handle only, the other is the full hydraulic power steering system. If you have the full hydraulic system, get it back to the dealer. If you do not have the powered system, you need to adjust the torque tab just above & behind the propeller.

Turn your trim tab to the left until the boat does'nt turn left on its own anymore.

The valves that allow the oil to flow through react to very small incremental movement. Either you are in need of an adjustment, or you have a faulty valve. I've seen both happen on the Titan unit. Sounds like a warranty issue to me.
