I haven't fished many muskies but have a boat now and want to try more. Its only a 16 foot tiller so I won't be out on Mille Lacs very often. I've heard there are some decent rivers in the Minnesota/Wisconsin area that hold muskies. Maybe not 50 inchers, but 40+. I'm not out to steal anyone's secret honey-hole, but I'd like to start in the right general direction. Can anyone PM me with a couple spots, rivers, etc. and where a guy can launch a 16 foot boat and have a good chance of finding some muskies? Thank you for any advice.

Why would you want to fish rivers when you have a bunch of excellent muskie lakes right in the metro area? Bald Eagle, Rebecca, Cedar, Nokomis, Harriet, etc. Goggle muskie lakes in the cities and you will find plenty of water close by.

What he said. They are extremely difficult to target in our rivers. Just those lakes listed above could keep you busy for years and it wont take you long to get attacked by a ski.
