Default Lowrance HDS: Showing names of tracks on Chart screen

I have a Lowrance HDS 8 Gen 2. I recently spend several hours creating paths in Google Earth from satellite images of a reservoir captured during low water. Then per Doc Samson's (Dr. Sonar)'s method, I used GPSBabel to change data types and import the paths into my HDS where they are then called tracks. The tracks are of various things: Roadbeds, building foundations, stacked stone fences, mud-gravel transitions, etc.... anything a simple waypoint would not do justice. I've given each track a very descriptive name as to be able to recall what it was or what was important about "that" track when I'm on the water. I created several dozen tracks for just this lake alone.

My question is this: Is there any way to quickly see what the name of the track is when looking at the tracks on the HDS Chart page? Waypoint labels (with similarly descriptive names) do show on the chart page. I've tried to see if there was a setting that would toggle on or off the display of the name. I've tried to place the cursor over the beginning, middle and end of of the track and selecting the "Info" button. None quickly return or show the name of the track. I know I can go to the "Waypoints, Routes and Trails" screen and select the "tracks" tab, but with several dozen tracks, it would be a very slow process to find the name for the track in question. So, is there a way to quickly see, or actively display the name of tracks shown on the HDS's chart page?

Hi Jim,

I was just trying to do the same thing today by placing the cursor on a trail. I will suggest it to Lowrance.

Thanks Bruce,

My backup plan all along was to preface each trail / waypoint with the area of lake in question (Not Just "Loon Lake", but "Jones Bay", "Mid-Lake", Poplar (point), etc.... that way it would at least make it a bit quicker to find the record.
