Use mine 100% of the time. I've noticed the bottom end of the transom saver "moved" on the trailer roller it rests against occasionally when I've been over some really rough sections of road. I feel the bungee cord has helped keep the saver in place and not vibrating out in some rough road conditions.

I never leave home without it, I have towed my transom saver 2 times this year. The first time was going north for the weekend and I thought it slid off the motor and the second time was on the way home. I found that the bracket on the trailer had come lose and was letting the pin come out off the bracket. The strap saved my 50 bucks and a trip to find one.

I got home once to find the motor in the position it was originally, but the trailer bracket of the transom saver had broken off. Transom saver stayed hanging on the motor, didn't scrape or anything. Not only saved all my pieces, but kept some poor soul behind me from having it smash through their windshield and stab them in the chest.
