Default Drop

I have a newer Escalade and a 620. I used the 6" drop and found it seemed a little above level. Replaced the ride control in the back and went with a 8". It is closer to level now but actually a little over. Not much different in towing but sure is easier to get it off the ball now. Before I had to get it much higher and seemed to put more stress on the jack.

Northern Tool has a hithch ball with a 1" or 2" riser built in.

Broadway Bill what year is your escalade mine in 2008 and never had problems with 6 inch drop

I have the same thing, works great. I also have my TowTector mounted to it so I can change tow vehicles, adjust for added weight in the pickup box and pull different height trailers and make all the adjustments I need to keep the trailer level. Here's the one I have:
