Bought some of the #1s and 1/0s at Cabelas today. Can't wait to try them with some bigger baits.

I did buy them at the store. I was in Milwaukee for work this week and went by an picked up some #1 Slow Deaths and #1 and 1/0 Death rolls. Went out for a few hours this morning to try them. The bite was off, but the action of the baits was very good. I tried some Gulp 3" leaches in pumkinseed, very nice action.

It sounds like guys are using plastic crawlers and leaches with these, with success. Are you threading the leech on like the crawler? Any way you can use live leeches with these hooks, and maintain action? I've only used live crawlers with these rigs, and they've worked great. Always looking to expand my horizon if possible.....Thx

Don't know what it can't be tried at least. I just got up to N MN for the next 10 days, so I'll post reports on how we do. If I pick up some leeches, I'll let you know how they work. Please do the same for all of us. BTW, I get up to Madison for work pretty often, where do you fish up there? Maybe I can get you to take me out one day? ;-)
