Default Lawrance mark 5 x pro help

I have just stoped biking and got back to fishing again . I found a old post I made here before so I just signed up again . I got a Lawrance fish finder . I know to be a better walleye fisherman you have to learn how to use the finders . I set it up on auto depth and sensitivity , grey line because when I try and adjust it it becomes so cluttered and dark you see nothing . When on auto its better but I dont see hooks and its still dark and cluttered but not as bad . I use it for depth changes and structure . When I use to fish had a lawrance and it worked good . The new one stinks and it may be me . The higher you turn the sensitivity the darker it gets . I have done lots of reaserch online and I took off and remounted thinking it was that and still the same thing . It shows depth and if rock but it seem most of the screen is cluttered or darker . Thinking of selling and getting another brand for christmas after I pay off my new boat and stuff like my autoguide that was a must for me . I know I am new here but I have been searching since spring for help and I just found a old post I med here and got some help from other members . Thanks for any help as I am totally confused and ready to get a new finder . This is my first post so I know many dont help new people but any blessings would be very appreciate.

this DVD may be well worth the $30.

I have used doc's DVD's for HDS units and it really cuts down on the learning curve.
